The Dave Carter Show Website: Where Truth and Humor Collide!

There’s an old joke about a couple of Louisiana Cajuns who got fired from their new jobs at Cape Canaveral because every time they heard the word, “launch,” they’d go get something to eat.  So you’ll be happy to know that I’ve already had a bite to eat this morning as I enjoy a cup of strong coffee and work on this new website contraption. 

The Dave Carter Show website is designed to be more than just a landing page from which to watch and listen to present and past episodes of the show. It’s a means of opening a channel, if you will, for us to communicate with each other. Among the happiest experiences I encountered when I began writing and podcasting at Ricochet were the many friendships I made with readers and listeners alike. 

Here were people from all over the country, from all walks of life, with diverse knowledge and experiences that opened my eyes to a vast array of education, wisdom, achievements and, above all, warm friendship. By the time we got together at various meet-ups, we had already learned so much about each other from Ricochet’s online forums that it was like shaking hands with an old friend that you just hadn’t met yet. 

On this website, you will see various channels through which you and I can get to know one another and ways for you to express your thoughts on the show and the topics which we will explore here.  To that end, you will find a place for you to leave comments on specific episodes or the issues of the day. You can also leave a review of the show and/or the website itself.

And as a staunch believer in making things as simple and user-friendly as possible, you can even hit the little “Voicemail” icon at the side of each website page and leave a voicemail from the comfort of your phone, laptop, tablet, or desktop and tell me what you think. This latter option also contains the possibility that particularly entertaining or compelling voicemails may very well be played on The Dave Carter Show for the enjoyment and edification of a nation-wide audience!

A subscribe option will also be popping up presently, but in the meantime I’ll be putting together a newsletter for all who are adventurous enough to provide an email address. 

Which leaves only one topic to address: Having talked about how you and I can use various channels on this website to converse, we can now focus on the point of the conversation. The purpose of The Dave Carter Show is the relentless search for truth, i.e., the unending quest for what works. 

The means by which to judge the efficacy of various policies, or virtually any human endeavor for that matter, is the real-world result of those policies and endeavors.  Lofty intentions never fed anyone, never made a street safe, and never protected the dignity and safety of any people.  The ultimate test of an idea is the results which that idea yields. 

As an independent, I’m open to all ideas that advance the cause of keeping our countrymen alive and free.  It’s just that simple, and I look forward not only to exploring with you how best to achieve those ends, but to doing so while sharing a smile and some laughs along the way.
